Well after much consideration I took the plunge and bought a 2015 Stelvio
I opted for the standard model manly because I think that I got a good deal and prefer the cast wheels.

I have ordered the engine guards a hugger and fender extender, the standard model comes with a lower screen than the NTX model and this is the area that I knew would need a modification, when I test rode the NTX I found that there was some buffeting therefore this is going to need a bit of thought because buying the larger NTX screen alone would not be the solution. The MRA X screen might work however I do not know if I am brave enough to drill through a new screen anyone done this. The other option would be clamp on screen type deflector.

I picked the bike up last Saturday and yes it rained got out on Sunday and was starting to get used to it after years of BMW's but unfortunately work got in the way on Monday. Looking forward to doing some miles this weekend, have booked the first service for Monday week therefore will be looking to cover some miles.

One thing that I will comment on is the Stelvio is often criticized for vibration well I am keeping the revs below 4000 rpm at the moment but it is very smooth cant wait to open her up.

Nice.

Which dealer did you use ?

Hi

Got the bike from Imoto in Croydon South London they also sell Ducati and KTM

Good purchase.

Try the Wunderlich universal screen extender, it clamps on and suits my 6ft frame & NTX screen perfectly. Found Nippy Normans to be the cheapest when I bought mine last year.
Can't recommend highly enough that you use Super unleaded every time you fill up. I am currently on Shell and it runs so much better, the likes of Tesco Super are ok (better than Regular) but the quality brands make it run even smoother. Don't appear help fuel consumption though, I always brim my tank and calculate the consumption manually (done this on my bikes & cars for years now) and rarely get over 40MPG out of my Stelvio despite what the readout says. This morning for instance, 165M and 18.2L.

Did they do much of a deal on price ?

Post up a pic or two !

The Stelvio (probably in NTX guise) floats my boat and I really must get a test ride when I can.

Congratulations on the new Stelvio. I hope you enjoy your time with it as much as I did with my two.
I remember when I bought my first Stelvio in 2009 and announced it on this forum there were some smartarses who made sniggering remarks about the bike. Needless to say they hadn't ridden one. Both of my Stelvios were reliable, and weathered better than any modern BMW I've seen in recent years.
Having recently replaced my 2011 Stelvio with a Super Tenere XT1200, I can say I do miss that Guzzi engine and sound.

Almost a year into ownership of the Stelvio NTX and loving it more with each passing mile.

I put an MRA X creen on mine works really well, and yes I did drill the original screen, didn't seem to sit right on the NTX screen with just the clamps.

Mine does vibrate a bit after 6000rpm, but below that it's just fine, your's being a 2015 model will have the new fuelling system which is supposed to be a whole lot smoother, plus the uprated rear sub frame.

Only thing I've never really liked was the exhaust, lovely sound just always felt it let the look of the bike down,so i've just ordered a Quill exhast and then it's off to hilltop for a remap as soon as I get the chance.

one thing I have done is to replace the headlamp fuse/relay for a bosch item.

The bike let me down at the Dent do, apparently the relay isn't upto some of the load it gets and blows a fuse, same fuse covers the alternator so the battery ends up going flat.

It's a great bike Mike and to me feels like I'm riding a proper bike again.

Enjoy.

Steve

Steve, have you been hill topped yet?

Been waiting till I'd had it serviced, and new exhaust fitted.

Serviced couple of weeks ago, and Quill T3 exhaust now fitted.

Booked in at Hilltop 18th August.
