Steptoe Help Please

You posted instructions on the correct procedure for bleeding ABS brakes a few weeks/months ago and I can't find it! Can you point me in the right direction please?

I still can't see Steptoe's procedure, but here is another great description. The process is easy to follow, although it needs a bit of preparation: you need to make some wooden spacers as well as a funnel to increase the volume of the fluid in the pump reservoir.

Noooooo = no need for wooden spacers and funnels, can't believe what's going on in those instructions Jesus, takes 10 more minutes than the non servo procedure. But it's easier with the servo pumps. if you know what i mean .

Really? I believe you in that the sequence of bleedings specified in the shop manual and instructions above may be more complex than strictly necessary (how Teutonic!). However, the servo reservoirs are tiny:
1) The level changes with pad wear, so don't you need a spacer to set the proper fluid level?
2) The reservoir empties itself almost instantly as soon as you start bleeding, so don't you need a funnel to keep air out of the reservoir?

1) retract pads, and chock them. they tend not to be pushed out anyway, if you use the electric servo to pump the fluid with the bleed points open .

2) I have a very large syringe, keeps the level the same as i bleed the system . And i've changed a servo unit on a bike without any grief . Not rocket science, if i can do it, anyone can

Any wood is good wood

Have you tried ebay?

Not sure, only women seem to make an issue about it though

This post is rapidly deteriorating, and partly because of me. I just meant to say (read his post) that Steptoe can handle a large syringe while pressing the brake lever, while fooling with a nipple, eh, bleed nipple that is.
Rocket scientists are overvalued.

Two hands only are needed, the bleed nipple only needs to be opened, then you let go .

the fluid only pumps when the lever is activated ( with one hand)

The syringe fills (with the other hand).
