Can any one tell me how to remove the stick coils? I have done search but can't find anything on how to use the odd looking tool under the seat.

The bike is running rough as you like, I have only had a week and I want to use the damn thing, but it is not fun to ride and I am sure itis not doing it any good.

Help!

Erm. Just push it on the end and pull. It really is that easy. It'll open to allow if you push it on to slip over the end.

Or Steptoe has said 2 screwdrivers will do the same trick.

How thick am I! Unplug it and slide it over the end! I think I need an early night, I have been up to long today!

I sell a 'stick coil' removal kit. £99 + £ p&p

Its a converted axle stand with a tube welded on the top. + a half inch dowel 17" long + coil stick glue.

Put bike on centre stand
Place the axle stand adjacent to cylinder head . 8" distance.
Adjust to height, looking through tube to align with coil head.
Place dowel in tube. Push gently through to check alignment. Dowel should rest on centre of coil cap.
Withdraw dowel 4" or 100mm.
Carefully apply 'coil stick glue' to end of dowel.
Gently push dowel c/w gluey end till it rests on coil cap.
Leave overnight to set.

Next day.

Sharply tug on 'coil removal dowel'
Coil should now be released .. for inspection or replacement ... or to simply attend to the sparking plugs.

Use hackaw to cut squarely through dowel as near to the coil as possible to release.

Removal dowel can be re-used until too short to grip with full hand.

Buy 2 kits for £170 so both sides can be done simmoultaneeouselly, or at the same time. :)

Dear Mr Den, My motorsikkle has FOUR spark plugs, do you do a kit with four extractors pleeeeease?

Sh*t ..... back to the drawing board :blast

While you're at it, you could add a tool for putting air into the wheels, tightening up those pesky mirrors, undoing the oil filler cap and also, something to remove the fuel filler cap...undoing all those nasty little bolts with that sill allan key everytime you refill is a pain in the bottom.

It would be a great multi tool :D

PS could you make it inflatable though, with its own integral compressor so it will fold away small and won't be too heavy?

thanks Mr Den :)

Help!

To test the main coil caps ( stick coils) pull off the lower secondary plugs and see if it runs on just the two main plugs.
If it only runs/fires on one side or not at all you've found your problem.

Found the coil that was giving me trouble and have replaced it. A friend balanced the throttles and cleaned then up, set the idle and the bike is running like a dream, loads of power and torque.

More important no stalling and starts on the button!

I love a happy ending :thumb2
