Ok so GS 1150 2003 twin plug still won't start. It's had new battery new starter new plugs new hall sensors. Ended up getting the Greek ones as I broke one fitting the loose ones from gorilla. Turn the kill switch you can here the fuel pump spin up I've checked the side stand switch using a multi meter and bridged the connectors. I'm at a loss. It turns over great but no sparks from any of the four new plugs. I'm at a loss guys and I've no bike cash left. Hope someone has a bright idea :-(

Firstly have you checked fuse 5 for the ECU? If thats ok, I would take one of the injectors off and check if there is any spray when engine turned over. If not it's possible that the HES is faulty though unusual if both not working. I made up a HES tester some years back (just needs batteries). Happy to lend it you- PM me if needs be.

I bought an led and tested both HES before fitting. Been reading about throttle re synch post battery swap on an RT do u have to do that on the GS ??

Dodgy ecu? has it got an alarm fitted?
Answer this before you go any further

Disconnect the green wire from the lower plugs coil which is up by the head stock

with the Ignition on, Sidestand up, blah blah Do you get 12 to 14 V approximately on that wire to earth with your meter?? Yes Good you have power to the coil

Now put your diode between the Green wire and the black wire and spin it over. What happens>? LED flashes? you are getting sensor signals If not then it leads back to the ECU or The Hall Sensors

OR the Disc that is behind the alternator belt pulley, the one with the gap in it? I have seen them separate when lifted from the workbench and then you wonder where the bloody hell that came from!

Ok thanks for that will check over weekend will get if I go near it tomorrow it her birthday.....

Just changed the battery on my single spark.Removed the tank, only because I wanted to give it a wipe underneath Put everything back together. Switched on, fuel pump half primed(weak sound) pressed the starter, bike turned over but did not start. Checked a few things and found my problem was the fuel line quick connects, I had not connected them correctly. Quick strong push together until they clicked, and all now ok.
