Mmmmmmm but will it stop some hairy arsed thief putting the whole bike into the back of a Transit
Mark, after a sleepless night, please can you make some security devices to protect the following from being stolen:
LED headlight
Akra Exhaust
Quickshifter
Just pulling your leg!![]()
Fair point Mark, but as the MD, don't you have Minions to do stuff for you so you can get out and enjoy the bike?? Anyway, one of these + a black deflector ordered - Cheers Mark

Actually some anti theft protection on the LED headlight would be a fine idea.
Anti theft bolts?

well yes you are right - I do have `minions` (but I don`t refer to them that way.......) however there are two things which prohibit such luxuries pal a) they are mostly too busy to do stuff for me - remember that I have geographically separated the core biz and the `happy place` and b) I still take a great deal of pride in making the stuff myself (there is one exception and thats the Tig welding, my best welder can knock spots off me so I ask him to do the toolboxes) - it also means that I can identify (low IQ and booze abuse allowing) with the part I have made YOU (I love all my babies). With this said I have taken on an apprentice and he does do some of the basic stuff for me and there`s always Shelly (who is fantastic) - I`ve taught her how to operate the laser profiling system but nowadays she is always too busy doing the admin as she is only part time
and thanks for your order - I actually made 2 or 3 spare ones last week so that should be coming out to you pretty quickly fella! (I think.....)
The Americans are getting in on your act Mark...Wonder what next they may "come up with" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-1200G...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3387896e06
If you look at the 1200 GS parts listing they have obviously also thought long and hard about the rear deflector, crud catcher thingie as well. Must be an optimum design I reckon.... as you say: "Bless 'em."wow an amazingly coincidental copy lol - they say imitation is the best form of flattery (or something like that). I do see they haven`t copied the `fine detail` of the GSA logo - you need a very special and expensive machine to do that!
Bless em.

Hi, newbie here. Just collected my new GS and asked the dealer about the ease of stealing the clocks. They said they had not heard of any being taken and have not had to replace any. They also said that the clocks would be worthless as they are encrypted and would have to be programed by BMW before they could be fitted to another bike.
Oh, hello also.![]()
and welcome - you have joined one of the better forums online (but I guess I would say that). Be wary of what you dealer says, there`s examples on this fine forum which sadly uncovers practices which could be somewhat disappointing. This doesn`t cover all of the dealers btw but just try to avoid taking their words or at least until you`ve floated it on this forum where you will get a `less biased` opinion. I, for one, have had an experience which was less than ideal with a dealer.
I tried stealing my LC's clocks at the weekend but couldn't manage to do it.
I managed it straight away. get a Pikey to give ya some guidance
