Just had a breakdown dropped off and while having a chat with the recovery man he mentioned bikes having their clocks stolen, and not just BMW's...

Triumphs are also suffering from the same "clock" problem.

At least BMW owners who've had theirs stolen have a small crumb of comfort.. their bikes will start and can be used without the clocks... the triumphs won't start without the clocks.. :D

Yes ... peepes are quick to moan that 'fecking BMW have made a design fault ..' but it's across the board. At work we are having Range Rovers, BMW cars and also Ford Focus ST's nicked by the bucket load, simply because of easy work arounds to start the motors.

If you really wanted to you could nick any single sided back wheel in about thirty seconds and make a few hundred quid on Ebay ...

We’re going to need locking nuts on bike wheels next. Bring back the birch I say..:rob

Wunderlich do a bolt for cast wheels, think it's 40mm long so to short for gsa which i think are around 52. It's £30. You can get a set of 4 Renault locking wheel bolts around for around £20 and some of them are the same thread size.

Do hex heads suffer from the stolen clock issue? I thought it was just WC's with the little spring clips holding them on (not that I've actually checked the clocks on my TC...)
