I have fitted the Nippy Norman LED rear light from my 1150 GS (non-ABS) to my 1150 GSA (ABS) and I now get a continuos ABS fault light. The lights work fine as does the ABS but I cannot get rid of the fault light. :confused: It has been suggested that because the LEDs draw less current, the ABS picks this up as a fault. The fitting of a resistor in the circuit should fool the ABS into thinking that normal lights are fitted and so clear the ABS fault indication.

Has anybody had the same problem and if so, how & where did you connect the resistor? All help appreciated.

I should think you would fit the resistor after the led lighting system but you need to figure out more importantly what strength you need!

I have a 47 ohm resistor but I'm not sure where or how to connect it. Hence the cry for help!

Hi Flashman,
have a look at post from a couple of months ago on exactly this topic;

"LED Tail light question" http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124683

I used a 47 Ohm 10 watt resistor in parallel across rear light feed, and attached it under the rear of the seat, against the frame. (Thanks to help from Techno for electrical advice)

All works fine now, and NO flashing warning lights! :o
