I've just fitted my new rugged roads spotlight guards. The thing is, the way I thought they went doesn't fit. The rear of the mount is pressing against the bike fairing and not allowing the mount to be level. However, I then thought, Have I fitted them round the wrong way ?
I changed it and it does fit. So, you'd think I've just answered my own question.
But Im not convinced. They look OK. But what do you think.
Pictures 1,2, & 3 are what i originally thought to be right, picture 4 is what fits ......

Neither look correct if I'm honest, the guards project too far out in front of the spotlight, interfering with the light beam.

I'm with you Humvee, the stock spots are very tough on their own.

Matchbox, Yeah, Im going with that now.
The guards don't interfere at all with the beam. I checked that as I mounted them.[/QUOTE]

Talk about bling for the bling. I'm looking for genuine BMW handlebar guard guards. JJH

Looking at my Triumph Explorer Guards they look right , as in picture 4.

From the pictures of the guards on the pre LC model, the overlap parts are definitely designed to go to the front.

Look at image 2.

It seems that the GSA guards should have adventure cut out of the side.

I did originally order the Adventure cut out ones, but due to huge demands they were out of stock.

Morning
Sorry it's taking a bit of time to get back to you. After you emailed me the pics yesterday afternoon, I sent them across to our design engineer, as promised, but he is actually on holiday until Tuesday. I've also phoned and left a message asking him to get in touch, which hopefully he will pick up over the Easter holiday.

As I said on the phone, I'm sorry I can't help with your exact problem as I have not seen this before but we will be able to sort the issue.

If, however, you decide you don't want them, you are more than welcome to return them to us for a full refund. If this is the case, you have my email address and phone number, please contact me that way.

Can't have better customer support than that.

Yes. I'd be more than happy to purchase have from them again.
I think I've come to a devision with these. Someone has suggested cutting it in half. This will solve the problem and still be functional. And it will be different :-)
Thank you Annette.

I do think think I need to apologise for the predominantly overweight old tossers comments. You get used to it over time.
Have a good weekend Annette !

I suspect the guards are for the "normal" halogen lights which are much larger and plastic covered. LED ones are smaller. Think they dont look right at all, sorry.
