Hello lovely BMW people.
Thought I would share this with you. I have an 1150 GSA 04 which I love to bits. However usually between 3800 and 4500rpm it would get a wee bit vibey. Coils are fine, valves checked and throttle bodies are always spot on.
The other day the battery died after I dug the bike out of winter storage. Wouldn't hold a charge so I bought a new BMW gell battery from Motoworks £66 all in, not bad. Fitted it and took bike for run and it is now much smoother. Any reason why this would happen or am I just mental? Did disconnecting the old battery reset any faults, etc in the motronic maybe?
I'm not complaining, it's great!

Wey-hey,time for some wild theories....
Clearly, your bike has been suffering from old, tired electricity and was complaining with a misfire.
Now that you have fitted a battery full of nice new electrons,it's much happier.

Aha thought that would have you all stumped.
Oh, on another point, does anyone know the torque settings for sump plug and oil filter on an 1150?

cheers
