Sub €1000 bike

Thanks, Marc. A fantastic bike I'm sure  but not exactly what I was looking for.

bit rick but can get cb1000 for under 1300

Hmmm, got me thinking but will try to stick to budget unless blown away by something.
I went out to JT Motorcycles in Innishannon yesterday.
He had an ok 94 VFR 750 but wanted €1250.

Ad gone, Sid. Must have been great. :D

Thanks, Marc. A fantastic bike I'm sure  but not exactly what I was looking for. ...
I kinda thought that :augie - but it does 'focus the mind' getting offers of Bikes you DONT want, as to which Bikes you DO want. :D
That's Mrs Ogs Suzuki Savage 650 - She'd love to swop and get a Serow.

It's a buyers market - if you can wave cash at a seller, you should get just what you want and pay only what you have to. :thumb
Good Luck. :bounce1

If you and your better half were to amble down this way, JT did have a Serow.
He has a stock of about 100 bikes of all sorts. He might deal. :nenau

If you needed someplace to lay your heads, I'm sure I could squeeze you in. :thumb2

I bought my son a Kawasaki GPZ500S for less than £500 as a winter hack. He normally rides a Triumph TT600 but he's really happy with the Kawasaki for commuting.

Had a look at this earlier.

Original paint, rear wheel needs painting, bit of scuffing on left side (evidence of a minor off) needs tyres and a battery.
Will be taking it for a spin tomorrow but it sounded good.
Not perfect by any means but seems a straight, honest bike and at the lowest price I've seen for one of these.
It's the F3 which apparently is the best of them before going FI.

Thoughts of the collective? :nenau

How dare you. :rob

You could be right, though.
I haven't ridden one before.
I'll see tomorrow how it fits.

Saddle needs new cover.
About €30 on ebay or €60 local professional.

Thanks, Sid.
 You should do better than that for a DRZ.
It'd want to be mint at those prices.

I didn't go for the CBR in the end.It was going to end up at 50% over budget and I'd still be looking at the damage on the side. If I'd got it at half the price, I could live with that. :nenau

I'm leaning towards a VFR but am in no major hurry so will keep looking.

...

I didn't go for the CBR in the end. . .
Phew ... kinda glad you didn't. ;) unseen damage would be my worry - I think you could do better.
FWIW i had a look on irishbikerforum.com but there's bugger all at the moment.
Oh, and ...
If you needed someplace to lay your heads, I'm sure I could squeeze you in.
Very kind - Thank you! :thumb2

i'll keep an eye out up here - will let you know if i come across anything viable. :thumb
Good Luck

Very tempting.
I'll contact him later for closer pics of the fairing damage.

Thanks, John. :thumb
