Hi all,

Right, down to it. 315 GRP is the 127th Sunbeam S7 Deluxe to roll off the line, in July 1949. I purchased the bike from Bernard Lantsbury from Northampton on 31st March 2015. The bike has been restored, by a well known restorer from that area, David Gardener. Bernie owned the bike for 10 years and being an Aerial man spent little time riding it. I had always hankered after one of these bikes, that 'Mist Green' paint and those fat tyres were a real winner for me.

I have done very little to it except ride it. I covered around 2000 miles, most of which were very enjoyable. It kept breaking down in the early days of ownership, which was really frustrating. I discovered pretty quickly it wasn't charging properly, and being a coil ignition obviously needed a healthy battery in order to run. I replaced the regulator which had failed, with a solid state one, and while I was there I wasn't overly happy with the wiring, so a new wiring loom went on, plus a twin spark coil. The bike starts and rides superbly now. Of all 3 Sunbeams I have, this definitely rides the best, but like the S8, it just sits in the garage doing nothing, and deserves to be used.

The reg No is not the original one, Having dropped off the DVLA's database some years ago, after restoration it was given the age related plate 315 GRP.

I am looking for £6500 for this bike. Its a very well sorted bike that really needs nothing other than to be ridden.

DM me if you are interested.

Lovely bike.

Excuse my ignorance please but which one had the hidden cables? Was that the S8?
