Switchgear housing gap

Is a gap between the two halves of the LHS switchgear normal on an 1100? Nothing seems to be broken, and everything lines up until the screw fastening the two halves together is tightened. Gap is big enough to allow an optimistic spider in to set up home. Now evicted...
