switching off lights

i have seen it somewhere but a search revealed nothing???? how can i switch off my lights whilst riding off road? r1200 gsa

IIRC with the engine stationary press the right indicator switch for 5 secs, then left indicator switch for 5 seconds and then start the engine.

I thought it was right indicator 5 secs then cancel button 5 secs then start?

It is actually hold Indicator Cancel button in for 5 secs and then hold right Indicator button in for 5 secs. Engine not running or if it is running you have to be in neutral and not moving.
On later models the "LAMPF!" will show on the dash.

And if you hit headlight flash button they come back on
