I was watching a of a few Swedish operative riding round on CRF 250 round Tanzania .

The country looked a good place to visit reasonable accommodation, locals fairly friendly.

Going Emirates via Doha seems fairly accessible .

A company Karanga bike tours caught out eye ,all seems good ?

Just asking if and body has any experience of the country or touring round by bike ?

Thank you in advance .

I've ridden there a bit on my 1100 - up along the eastern side from Zambia at Nakonde to Lake Tanganyika (Kapili) and then back down to Mbeya to enter Malawi. All pretty easy, loved it, would definitely go back, there's a lot more to see.

A small loint: it's either Emirates (via Dubai), Qatar (via Doha(, or Etihad (via Abu Dhabi).

I backpacked through the region in the 1980s - magnificent!

Please post your findings about bike rental agencies, for reference?

Good luck with your planning!

We were there on the bike in the early nineties. We spent time in Ngorongoro, Dar es Saleem and Zanzibar The country was struggling with AIDS at the time and lots of infrastructure issues but seems to have got back on its feet in recent years. We’ve been back to Kenya but as yet haven’t managed to get back to Tanzania.
