I recently saw this on an R1150GSA and noticed it looks nothing like the standard wishbone. Initially I thought this was some after-market modification then noticed the exact same part on an R1150R.

Anyone else out there done this conversion?

It looks great and I would be keen to do this, but would changing this part from one that is effectively from a lighter road bike affect the structural strength of an 1150GSA in the long run, especially when there's some off road riding thrown into the mix?

Keen to hear people's thoughts on this.

Rockster telelever. Lowers front end by an inch or two. Probably stronger construction than standard.

Good looking bike you got there.

What is that black thing on your front beak and are those on sale somewhere?

I have to ask about the Manifold pipes, are they a bigger diameter than stock, do they produce more torque, and who makes them. Cheers Ken.

edit... thats now my desktop..

Since I´m new would someone mind telling me what does those ZORTS mean since the word is poppin out every now and then?

I think it's a Laser exhaust full system, seen one a couple of times before and is designed for the R1150R, so downside is that you have to remove the bashplate and thus no bashplate will fit anymore

Search their website for R1150R

Its a Laser Hot Cam complete system. Have one fitted to my 1150 and AFAIK it's the only full system available for the 1150. PITA as the complete system has to be removed to change the oil - headers and all:blast Makes an extra 7bhp and sounds stunning though:)

And in answer to the original question – I have an R1150R telelever arm fitted to my bike. Absolutely no problem with road use or easy offroad. If I was off round the world I’d probably look to fit the original more substantial GS A-arm. Changing the telelever over isn’t the easiest of jobs BTW;)

I tried one of those exhausts & decided I couldn't live with the hassle & didn't like the looks of the bike without a sump guard. The wishbone looks great in black, though... Mine came from eBay for £70 & just needed the GS bearings fitting (they're different from the 1150R arrangement).

LOL... how very dare you suggest that someone who owns an ADV with cast wheels and road tyres... would never go off road.. look what you made him do.. rush out to find a puddle - special.

Nah .... Never seen so much as a dusty road. Waste of a GS really.
