Arrow do a de-chatted exhaust system. You get everything bar the rear header (you re-use the oe pipe).

Strong and black, like my women! (what film was that from........my memory these days Did you have the original map put back or was it just the original can and headers refitted? I have decat headers, can and Geoff has worked his magic on my TC and I wondered when it comes time to sell what effect the hilltop map has to the original set up when it goes back to standard.
As I understand it (as described by Geoff) - there is an element of 'self-learning' which will readjust to suit returning to standard exhaust/filter.

I'm a bit puzzled why anyone would want to remap a bike that rides so well, it's 150 horses can and do make the rear wheel spin up on anything that's not perfect tarmac, if it suffered from flat spots or a snatchy throttle then fair enough, but it doesn't.
The last time I was at the KTM dealers there was an RC8 in pieces, the engine had disintegrated, I commented that it looked like an expensive repair under warranty, the reply was that it had been remapped so it wasn't.
So mine will be staying standard, it gives me piece of mind, I don't want to be riding a grenade with no back up.
Just my opinion of course.
I can't comment on the bike in pieces, who knows what had happened and who had done what.
For me it's a two fold excercise,
Firstly, if you play exhausts and air flow and generally improve the bikes ability to breathe, you run the risk of making the bike even leaner. (Most bikes are pretty lean from standard anyway because of emission testing). So by remapping it and correcting the air/fuel mixture you protect it from running too hot.
Secondly, as good as a bikes fuelling may be straight out the factory, if you set it up properly you will notice a huge improvement. So it's not about balls out bhp, it's not about 'my bike now pulls 160mph' it's about 'my throttle is just a delight - like a surgeons knife, wet off camber roundabouts in greasy town are a doddle with such good fuelling'.
The Rc8 may have had some dodgy home made power commander on it? Track dayed to within an inch of its life? Who knows. I can tell you that my last two bikes were re-mapped and the improvement in their 'performance' (so we're talking real world fuelling) was just fantastic.

I'm still running it in Mav ..!
Give me a month or two ...!!
All this talk and no action pictures is making it easy for me to restrain myself from trying one of these![]()

Hope this helps......![]()

Mav,
You don't know what you're missing.....

Andres might remember this - a blind corner at the bottom of the Hardknott pass with a lookout for safety's sake - looks like I bottled it and shut the throttle
