tell me about your V85tt ownership

Could you all please stop putting pics of these beautifully coloured v85s on here please.

I’m going to have to sell my Ronald McDonald variant

I'm seriously considering buying a Guardia de'onore. Spelling? Love my V100 mandello s , but missing the V85. I know, I know, There is something seriously wrong with me. This would be my 5th new V85. I will be keeping the V100.
Your 5th new V85TT. Feck me do you get rid of them as soon as the ash tray is full? :DD

No 1....... ordered as soon as they were announced. took delivery early 2019.
No 2....... Updated and came with tubeless tyres, so I swapped.
No 3.......Loaned a KTM 1290s when the V85 was in for service. Bought it on return. Soon realised my mistake and swapped back to a V85.
No 4........Centenario colour scheme released. Loved it, so swapped again.
I was hoping to keep the V85 when I got the V100. But the purchase of a campervan had left my 'bike pot' a bit empty.

Doesn't feel right with just one bike in the shed.
I have a choice, which I'm mulling over this week. A new V85 Gaurdia or a mint 65 plate Stelvio.

Ah, I now understand. As much as I enjoyed my Stelvios, I much prefer the V85tt for its lighter weight and easier manoeuvrability

I've also had four Stelvio's and loved them. I'm leaning 80% toward the V85 at the moment.

Got mine covered in crap today. I headed out for Devils Bridge via Goosnargh and Caton, along the edge of the Forest of Bowland. There was much muck, stones and other detritus on the roads that had been washed out of the fields. I came across three badly flooded roads, got my legs wet but had fun crossing them, some folks in cars chickened out and turned back. Home via Ingleton, Bentham, Slaidburn and Clitheroe. I am so loving this bike, the comfort, the brakes, the handling, it's starting to loosen up a bit now. I've got over 500 miles on it, would have been more except for shitty weather and Grandfather duties.

Very pleased you love it.

They are great bikes.

I’m away for a weekend on mine this coming

Yes, they are very comfy Al, 2400 miles on mine now very easy to put miles on .... would have been more as well if not for a wet July. Wee tip, leave 1st service until the spanner comes on as its dealer only to switch off

Picked up Guardia D'onere number 1708 yesterday. It's good to be back on a V85, looks great parked next to the V100s. For me the best two bikes Guzzi have produced.

I got to ride mine today for the first time since early June.
Another 130 miles enjoyed.
What a lovely bike it is….even in the rain.

I took out a v85 and and really didn't like it, buffeting was terrible and it felt a bit flat, yesterday i took out a v100 and absolutely loved it, I've never rode a bike with such good fuelling, i can only imagine the S is a better package.

After owning getting on for 140 bikes, I'd have to say the Mandello is for me up there with the best. I even think it might be the best bike I've owned and ridden. You're right the fueling is spot on. I've only done 3k mls so might have to withhold judgement for a while longer. I felt the S was a much better package.
