Ten Years

Bob will remember that trip with horrific clarity. He tried to do a U-turn on the road into the industrial estate having take one turn too early. Unfortunately the road was covered in black ice and down he went on the GSA.

Ah yes . . only half of the road had been salted. I must replace the bars one day as there is still a slight bend in them :blast.

A couple of guys came to help me pick it up, we could hardly stand the road was so slippery .

The 1150 GSA is a great, tall, top-heavy beast and when they start to go . . . I'm afraid its been on its side a few times, apart from the ice incident, always when coming to a halt on a rough or sloping surface. Its survived though :thumb.

Hopefully I'll get out on the bikes more this year than I did last year. In 2007 I covered 21,300 miles on bikes, last year about 1,500 - pathetic :rob.

Correction - I joined UKGS in November 2006, a year after buying the 100GS - so only eight years for me.

Bob.

I'm still with the GS tho' stupidly offloaded the first but quickly realised my error and got a newer GSA 1150, one of the very last. I reckon between the two so far I have done a lowly 70+ thou. With more to come. Plus the mileage from the other bike too.
I still have all vehicles identified under my signature. Those are not the total sum of vehicles over the years as I think some have posted !
Regards to all,
it's the runs that Ronno and co. arranged I sorely miss . Good times.

Just read aw this and it's brought a tear tae ma japs ee :tears
