Starting to get a little frustrated with the 650 as it hasnt got enought go in it. Not sure what my other options would be really as i like everything else about the bike, its the perfect commuting tool apart from the lack of ooomph
Its a passing Phase

But......................
Hey, I have a 650GS twin and find the power fine. I wouldn't say its fast but I guess it depends what you want out of it!
Time to trade up? Its a hard decision, I've often thought abou a 1200GS but often wondered if the extra BHP is worth it.
yep I would agree the power is spot on with matched Fuel economy

I think the 12 is a natural progression from the F650Gs twin but if you have not ridden one before you need a long, long test ride a Day would be best

I never want to give them back, it's the Torque and it just feels right

the reason I do not have one is the cost
it is perfect other than i wish it went faster!! its a stupid post really
i need 2 or 3 bikes really, but dont we all??
Not stupid at all many people change there bikes often or think about doing so I have many times
At Christmas went playing with the big boys on mine and didn't have a problem keeping up, same with chasing a Tiger 1150, no problem keeping up.
Occasionally near red line but no problems and better on fuel to boot.
Yes ive had this last year in the pyrenees I was with a vstrom 1000 and two triumph tiger 8's one of the tigers kept up ok the other (my brother inlaw) still struggles with confidence but he came from having two previous Bonny's the Vstrom was ok both the tigers was new to the riders so confidence was a big player
I personnaly never notice much difference between the 800gs and 650gs power wise.
I know how you feel, my ideal garage would have about 6 different bike to cater for all kinds of occasions. If you use your bike everyday to commute than stick with 650GS it ill do all you want to do 95% of the time!
Saying that if you have itchy feet take a few bikes for a test ride, see what you think!
Yep

F8 and f650 not huge difference power wise. Personaly for me I have made a lot of changes and some just aesthetics and the biggest most improved ride enjoyment factor was Ohlin rear and uprated front fork springs. It is a different bike braking and accelerating! Power wise how nice it is to ride a bike some times near its limit rather than never use them limits a bike has

I allways look at other bikes last night it was 11s and 12's on bike trader then it allways hits me

why my bike does all that I require from it and more.. But If I had a shed load of money I would have a few steeds no doubt

what ever you do enjoy
If by power you mean gettin there as in wheelie through all 6 gears at break neck velocity to get to a zillion miles an hour, power doughnuts

it's not for me

then again i'm the wrong side of 50
