That looks a bit more focused than the old one 🤓

Yeah, and the new W800 looks good too ;)

Um,as you've probably noticed the bike in the picture has 4 cylinders!!

I do like the original W800 twin though :)

🤔Interesting twin rear disc set up on the Blackbird😉

It is still a great shame that the Blackbird never had a new model. Mine was still probably the best bike I have owned. It looked like it was doing 100mph when stood still. It was comfortable for the two of us touring Europe, it was fast, it carried the luggage well, it was fast, reasonable fuel consumption and it was a great looking bike. Did I mention it was fast?

...but with rose tinted specs on, looking back on fast bikes of the 90s and 00s wouldn't help sell them in the UK nowadays. Most of us wouldn't manage the position now we're in our 50s, 60s and beyond...a far cry from our 20s and 30s.

I'm on my third 'bird and still love them. We've toured two up on it, runs to the south coast of England, scratched on some beautiful coast roads and commuted, I still find it comfortable and thoroughly enjoy riding it and basking in the sheer grunt of that turbine smooth engine 🥰🥰🥰

I like the "touring comfort" bit...😂😂
That was SWMBO's reaction too. She still moans about the BB pillion seat to this day, bless her.

I think Honda must have decided that storage space beneath the seat was more important to the rider than comfort for the pillion.

Call me biased, but when the Hayabusa came on the scene it re-defined sports touring. Unfortunately, as times have changed, these ballistic bikes are now a potential licence buster.

My wife was completely the other way round. Didn’t like the Hayabusa seat at all. She didn’t like that it was stepped up so put her into the wind. The Blackbird she found much more comfortable. The there is the obvious difference in building quality of the Honda over the Suzuki. I don’t know if it’s still the same but Honda build quality was hands down better than Suzuki.
