Last summer my friend and I took a trip to Norway. Before the trip I was hunting around trying to find out as much as I could about the country.
I had posted a vid on You Tube of a previous trip and a guy from Norway left a pleasent comment about it.
I contacted him and struck up a dialogue, after much emailing backwards and forwards we arranged to meet up in Norway.
This is a video taster of our trip up to the Arctic Circle.

Hope you like it.

Thanks Chaps

The track is by an Icelandic band called "SIGUR ROS", it is a track called "Hun Joro" from the CD "Von", They are the nuts, I brought about six of their cds from Ebay from £20, it has to be the best £20 I have ever spent.

NICE

Brings back some great memories of Biking in Norway with My Girlfriend (now wife).

Thats a really slick edit you must have had a lot of rushes and some really nice shots. listened to it at work with headphones but could only get the music track and not the natural sound, I'll try again again home and bring up both tracks.

Can I guess you edited it using Final Cut Express or Pro?

Edit.

I used Final Cut Express, the audio on the clips has been turned down, because the edit was fast I thought the audio of the music would serve as a better template without ambient sound. With a tag of Key frame I take it you use Final Cut?
D.

Yes indeed, Final Pro and Avid. Excellent tools. The font on the astons was a clue. You can tweak the text to make it stand out against the background.
Double click on the text segment/clip in the timeline. Click on the Motion tab and then check the box "Drop shadow". click the triangle to open the parameters and adjust the opacity, softness, and angle.

When you're happy with the look of the adjusted text, copy the newly adjusted text segment. (click on it in the timeline then apple C) move along the timeline to the next text segment/clip ctrl+click on it and then "paste attributes" tick those attributes you wish to transfer. Put a 10 frame transition on the front and back of each non-animated text segment/clip, it stops them coming in and out with a clonk.

Happy cutting

Great vid:thumb
The editing was excellent with short bursts to hold the attention, a lot of work went into that I'll bet:clap

I thought that was a fantastic piece of video, absolutely night and day when compared to the usual videos that you see.

Entertaining and inspiring, cant wait till spring now!!

I enjoyed that:thumb2, thanks for sharing.....
Norway is somewhere I really want to do on the bike...comeback the Norway ferry

Takes a little over a day to get there from Harwick via Denmark.
Whatya waiting for?:thumb2

That video is up with the very best bike trip videos I’ve ever seen Daren, well done :thumb

Look forward to the Iceland 2010 video!

Thank you

Thanks very much, I'm overwhelmed with the comments.
I just wanted to produce a film that I would like to watch myself and it would appear I'm not alone. D.

Cracking video :thumb2
I read earlier that the software you used was by apple - does it work on non-apple machines and/or is there a similar package that would work on a non-apple pc?

Also, I may have missed it but what camera did you use for the video footage - its crystal clear
