Hi all...
Totally knackered after riding for 460 miles in total today..
310 of them to see Geoff at Hilltop and the rest on a ride out with mates when I got back.. I think I may have overdone it !!
As you may remember I had booked my bike in at Hilltop to be breathed upon.
I have the before and after figures for you..
Remember this is with a decat REMUS header BUT standard silencer!
Figures are "At the wheel"..
BEFORE:
80.9bhp @ 7420 rpm
60.4 ft/lb @ 5885rpm
AFTER:
104bhp @ 7600rpm
84.3 ft/lb @ 5500rpm
Pretty good results I think you would agree.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that after a remap it takes several start ups for the ECU to fully register its new settings and apply them..
Any way it did seem to get better after 3 or 4 starts during the day...
On the way home there is a certain country lane I know very well that is one of the few places its possible to pass a car. This old dear was getting annoying in front.. I was hovering in 3rd gear waiting to pounce at about 4000rpm.. I went for it and as I passed the car my bike did a bloody power wheelie in 3rd!!
I was so startled i backed off a bit too suddenly and it slammed down..It definitely wheelied!!
On the down side I would say it vibrates a bit more at motorway speeds..
Fuel consumption seems the same as it was.. Over todays ride of 460 miles it has averaged 54mpg.
