Only if we can build that wall back up to keep them out completely

This would be 'THE wall', so from north of the banks of the Tyne from Wallsend through to Newcastle itself, on into Northumberland to Cumbria. So you'd reduce Englands territory and cede additional lands to Scotland.

Back to the debateable lands

i must admit to feeling sorry for the english not having a viable independence movement of their own, i agree , you should have it :thumb2. it confuses me why you persist in voting for a conservative government that strives to keep you tied up in your own class war with yourselves. instead of looking inward to see what your country lacks, you're too busy showing what you have, thats sad :(. i'm sure i've seen someones signature line saying " he who dies with the most toys wins"
I was once asked by a child from england how much my house was worth , presumably he was trying to see where i was in your class system , therefore able to work out his own place. it seems to be instilled in your DNA from the cradle to the grave.stop thinking you're superior to other races( a purely english trait) rise up, change, make a country you can be proud of.
Scotland is doing just that.:flag

BRAVO sir:clap

What a load of fucking shite.

I suppose grass often looks greener but what has Scotland :flag got to gain by achieving independence :nenau is it like making a mountain out of a mole hill? :nenau

Isn't that for Scots to decide? You might care more if it was your homeland.

How many of the rigs are within the 12 mile territorial limit?

Got nothing to do with the 12 mile limit.
There is a north sea convention which not only lays down 'who owns what' but it also includes details of how to work it out in the future. It's based on median lines between territorial waters.

I am greatly encouraged by threads like this.
When discussing independence, in a few short years, we have gone from denial to anger. Next comes bargaining.

Just watch the negotiating leading up to the referendum.

There is a certain inevitability about the whole thing.

So would that mean that if the independence is granted that the SNP would then have to try and renegotiate the convention with all the other interested parties?

Punch drunk on patriotism, blind drunk on borderism. Maybe I should drive?

In all this patter about oil & gas, has anyone wondered where the Shetland Islanders would want to be in a UK breakup? Maybe they would want to bring their oil & gas to an independent England. :nenau

Speaking as a native Shetlander, I doubt if there is too much love lost for many individuals south of Sumburgh Head when it comes to National politics - "Wolves at the lambing" to quote a line from Rob Roy.

Since 1970, the oil industry has given a quality of life never seen before in Shetland and there is literally not a community within the islands which hasn't benefited in some way from the Zetland Act, which was thrown together by a group of indigenous individuals who had no political leaning; simply the true desire to protect the community from the weight of external politics, the wanton desire of oil companies and ensure atleast some of the oil revenue was put to good use locally.

As some of you can attest (who have visited); Shetland has managed its Oil fund well and I doubt that we would have had the benefits that are self evident at home if we had not been able to manage our own business.

The Oil fund currently sits at several hundred million pounds and my biggest fear is that there will be a "Smash and grab" job from whichever shower of shite are sitting in Edinburgh or London when they want more money for duck-ponds, interior decorating or hamsters to shove up their fecking arses.

:clap:clap Stand as an MSP Leasky. You'd get my vote every time!!!! And a lot more as well I suspect!
