Ahem....
And plenty whose families have settled in nicely over the years and don't expect Shetland to revolve around them.
You're not one of those 'little Shetlander' types who blame everything that's SoothMooth for all their woes, are you?![]()
Most of our woes are caused by the clowns that run the place, but its been that way for years. Grants for family and fancy bits who then go bust and start again.I'm not anti incomers, only those who come here and don't integrate
and try and change the way of life,if you ride a bike u must be ok.
:cool

I stand to be corrected but........
In the volume stakes most of the rigs off England are small and unmanned with the gas being producted on a steady and steep decine. Thus the increase in wholesale prices and the increased import from overseas.
Yes there maybe less rigs north but they are large production units drawing far larger volume and quality. With the North sea a hostile enviroment the skills base and service support in UK with the Eastcoast of Scotland being a world epicentre this will keep production going long enough.
I am sure Andy T and the others in the industry can elabourate.

Much as I like Scotland (and my sister married someone from Scotland) it is a place that most English don't give a second thought to.
Therein lies the problem. Who asked what was to be gained from Independence.....?![]()

I did, for England![]()
Much as I like Scotland (and my sister married someone from Scotland) it is a place that most English don't give a second thought to. That said, I would vote for an independant England, free of the burden of subsidising the Scots and pissing their third rate banks and politicians back to Scotland and out of England.
Oh, and on a different subject while I am here: where and when is the best time for driving up this winter and seeing the Northern Lights?

Precisely. QED
Why are you typing bollox? Nothing to say or just pished?
the perfect example right on cue, everything that is wrong with you're compatriots in one post, it's not the workshy or immigrants that have spoiled your country. its precisely these backward views![]()
Your obvious lack of comprehension does not mean that I'm typing "bollox".
If you'd care to specify which bit of my response to your Little Englander's post you don't understand, I can, if necessary spell it out at in a manner that's consistent with your level of understanding.
HTH
Can't be fecked with cryptic tonight. So don't bother.
A simple "thank you" would suffice.
