Question for them whats knows more about North Sea oil than what I does: how long will it last at current rates of production? Not an exact science I know, depending on all sorts of factors, but it will start to decline in production in what, roughly: years? decades? centuries?
If the Scotlandish people want their freedom from FEBdom then that's absolutely fine by me - I can see why. But, judging on the posts here, basing the argument on a finite resource that's only going to pay the bills for a couple of dozen years seems a bit short-sighted.
Otherwise, you'd better start selling a shitload of shortbread and whiskey...
