After several years of slagging from my plastic rocket riding work colleagues for riding a beemer they are starting to see the light. First of all I get a phone call a couple of weeks ago to pillion 17stone of fat git up to Park Lane to pick up his new 1200GS and then, out of the blue, another one says to me today that he took a 1200GS for a test ride yesterday and ordered one immediately - delivery in September. 'Does everything I want a bike to do' he humbly mumbled.

Ha. The slagging will now be shared until we bring the others round to our way of thinking. Will get them on the forum ASAP. Strange thing is, both of them kept it all as secret as possible. almost like they were ashamed or something!

:)

Bloody lightweights....they need to eat some pies :D

Come to think of it, at least one has a sensible bike!

That 'sensible' bike seems to have been the catalyst and will shortly be joined by one of Germany's finest.

Larry, you shouldn't stay loged on and leave us to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
some of us won't be turning to the dark side and getting white boot socks and only drink real ale or competing with a pan rider to see how many lights they can rig up to their bikes.
us on the rockets won't be converted and we won't be longing after your other form of transport either.
lots of love
