Thinking of swapping the XR for a GS !!

100 mile round trip, not ideal if you have a warranty issue, also means servicing is a day off work whereas local dealers I can be back at work within 20 mins so I’ve not lost a days wage.
We have several jap dealers and Ducati on our doorstep but no bm and I think having a local dealer is part of the ownership.

Well the bike was collected at 10:15 and is off to the dealers hopefully to be sorted and returned as quickly as possible !!

the key is that they are able to give you a clear answer as to what the issue was.
Just remembered an odd one. If the bike is due any recall or BMW updates they have to wait until it is registered and on the road before they call you in for the work!!

Service manager calls just now and says that it is the ESA Control module that is at fault and it needs replacing !! so the good news is that the fault is found !! here we go the bad news is there are none in the UK and a new one is going to be between 7-10 days I nearly shit a cat fucking 10 days I could drive there pick it up and drive back in 3 whats the go with that, I said ill have the XR back fuck that !!
obviously the sales manager had gone for the day so he is going to ring me in the morning, I just cant wait for this phone call

Normal practice for parts held in Germany with 7-10 day transit (but will turn up sooner in my experience)

Understand on all counts, the window on the XR is closing its on there web site for sale !! if it does sell before the GS is done I cant see them just transferring £18K back without a fight !! or do I just wait and then not trust the GS, 2 trips booked Wales and Spain would you trust the GS ?
