throttle cable

hi all

just fitted new throttle cable on to my r100gs
just need to check how the inside of the twist grip lines up.

on the inner part that the end of the cable hooks on to there is a line. should that line up to the start of the grove of the throttle grip.?

i have looked in the haynes manual and could not find any thing about the throttle/ twist grip part.

It matches up with the line on the twist grip barrel (should be there under the grease)
