Hi folks,
After fitting some braided hoses to my '00 1150gs I've found that the idle speed is now at about 2000 instead of around 1200. Now if I rev it slightly it will drop down slowly but will not rest where it used to, but, if I twist the grip backwards it will drop to 1200..ish and stay there, just that by itself it doesn't want to return all the way. It looks like a miniscule amount of travel for that reduction in revs from 2000 to 1200. I've sprayed lube around the cable at the grip end where it goes into the sheath/cover, checked the cable is seated correctly at the throttle body bits on each side and made sure its's not fouled anywhere. The adjuster near the grip where the cable goes through the handguard doesn't seem to make any difference.
Also reset the motronic but made no difference.
Sometimes but not always it sort of 'hunt's' (if that the right word) up and down around 2k, in fact it did that when I first took her out to test the brakes after fitting new hoses but it settled down, albeit to around 2k as I've said.
The bikes just had a big service and was fine till I got my sticky little fingers on it yesterday.
This small increase at idle speed is a pain when rolling along at slow speed in low gear so I want to sort it asap
Any idea's from the collective please?
