Item ordered - both 55w![]()
I have read in another (car) site that "there are issues with 55w HID lamps elting surrounding plastic"?
Any input re that issue?

Sorry my psychic powers are obviously not as good as yours'The problem with HIDing the dip and not th main is that when you switch to main, it makes almost no difference at all.'
DUH!!!
I'm sure, somewhere in there, is the reason why this thread was started![]()

I have HIDs on both dipped and main (and fogs if you must know) and the main beam flashes prefectly well. Did a run up to Grantown on Spey the other evening and cars were flashing me because they thought I wasn't dipping. I flashed them back to show I was.
Main beam flashes OK but doesn't reach full strength for about 3 to 5secs, the effect is that it "grows" to fill in the area above the dip. Once it gets there it's really good. Well pleased.BTW where have you mounted the ballasts SD ?
ignore the bikes mucky face. Not got a chance to clean it since out in last Fridays snaw.![]()

How come it's so clean - don't you go anywhere?!?
I'm never very sure about mounting electrics right out in the weather, so I'm always looking to hide them away somewhere!
