I'm trying to get a Tomtom bluetooth headset to work with a new navigator and an Autocom ... so far I have everything working fine but the microphone output when making phone calls is too low and the caller cannot hear it properly...

So ... the nav will talk to the Tomtom fine ... the phone will connect to the nav fine ... it all talks through the Autocom ... but the audio on an incoming or outgoing phone call is far too low (but not nonexistent) to the person on the other end ... tried different phones but all the same...

Anyone?...

Sorry to see that one of the more technically aware bods have not got back to you on this as I was wondering if the TOM TOM headset would pair up with the nav 3 myself.

Clearly the answer is yes but there is some problem. How are you connecting the headset to the Autocom?

If the root cause is the Autocom maybe speaking with them direct will help. i spoke with them last week about a bluetooth interface and the guy i spoke with would not say too much.

What he did say was that they are going to launch something at the bike show at the NEC. Would not say anymore.

This weekend I am going to attempt to pair up a Danieses Airstream Course Bluetooth lid with the Nav 3. If it works that will be my problems taken care of. I hope. Post the results next week.

I didn't expect a reply to be honest ... though a customer did get in touch with me to help out ... but alas ... it don't work right...

As it stands ... somewhere on the way back ... something loses the audio from the autocom ... it is definitely coming out of the Autocom and going into the Tomtom dongle ... but from there on wards I don't know what happens to it...

I thought that maybe if I could transfer the call back to the phone ... and have the phone hard wired to the Autocom then maybe it would work ... but my phone won't make 2 simultaneous connections to a hard wired and a bluetooth headset at the same time ... and it made my head hurt whilst thinking about it...

But I ain't given up yet...

Not been very sucessful pairing the Dainese lid with the Nav 3.

I can get he Nav 3 to see the lid and it then want the device code put into the Nav 3, fine up to that point.

The Nav 3 then demands its code is entered into the device, obviously there is no keyboard on the lid so you cant and it fails to pair up.

How did you get the Nav 3 to see the TOM TOM dongle? Did it ask you to enter codes into both devices?

By the way, ex sand grounder myself. Meols Copper.

Meols Cop! ... lordy lordy ... me too...

The Tomtom headset paired up right away with no code ... could be that the Nav thinks yours is something other than a headset ... I have also got a couple of normal phone headsets to pair up ... they all seem to work fine ... even my scabby old Jabra 200 ... works fine if you just want to hear your Nav and use the phone...

Tell yer what I need ... a picture of the inside of a 2820 if any one has one and doesn't mind...
