Top box help needed

I fitted a Givi V47, the shape is more modern than the older E52/55.
It's a lot lighter and much cheaper than the BMW option.

and.... I added the Givi remote lid release and modified it to work with the BM central locking, thanks to someone else here who had done that mod.

That's all very well, but where is the plush carpet eh?.
And what about the gas struts eh?
And the central locking - a must in todays market eh?
And what about the $1700 price difference . . . . . oh!
I think BMW may have got the price slightly wrong - it's a feckin plastic box that's all!

Whilst the central locking does work ok on the panniers, I probably rarely use it due to my defaulting to repetitive, habitual, behaviour ingrained over many years of key based operation. I guess that's why I don't personally miss the flash gas struts and central locking capability on the BMW top box which came with my RT LC.

Although there is some quite plush carpet in there...
