Didn't know whether to post this here or in the Beak Chat and Bollocks section but three and a half years and 46k miles ago I purchased a Rukka suit and it wasn't cheap and two weeks ago I returned it to Infinity at Farnborough with what I considered a few minor problems, zip pulls broken, lining split but still waterproof and the main problem being the leaking crutch. I am short in the leg with a low seat and I think this makes the problem worse as the water seems to pool. Having produced my original purchase receipt it was duly sent away with a 6 week turn around time and a couple of days later I was provided with a replacement suit albeit not of the same quality but then what other manufacturer does that anyway. Yesterday I received a call from the guys at Infinity to say that my suit had been replaced free of charge by Rukka in accordance with their 5 year warranty. Suffice to say that had they offered me a reasonable discount off another suit or repaired my old one I would have been satisfied or stumped up same cash for a new one. I am now the proud owner of a brand new top of the range Rukka suit (£1550) and my only complaint is that the pockets on the new one aren't as good as the old one but then I am an habitual pocket stuffer.
Can't fault the old suit, hot as it may have been on some days but looking back at my service records this time last year I was riding to Steptoes for a service in the snow encapsulated in my Rukka warmth.
What can I say other than thank you Rukka for living up to your guarantee
and the help of the guy at Infinity whose comment was "Mr Gibbs you have got to be the luckiest guy in the world" On the basis of this I checked my Lottery tickets only to find they were wrong.
All I can end with is, Rukka stand up to their guarantee and what more can you ask from a manufacturer.
If any of you want the warts and all of Rukka ownership please feel free to contact me
Regards
Matt
PS Forgot to say that this kit
stood up to the rigours of 2 trips across Salisbury Plain courtesy of Steptoe
