Magnificent by Cav, looking forward to seeing the highlights tonight as he always wears his heart on his sleeve.
Absolutely!Unbelievable so happy for him and his team for believing it was possible. Just fantastic news![]()
Absolutely - plenty thought Cav was washed up, but his team had faith, assembled some great assistants (Renshaw behind the scenes, Michael Morkov on the road), Vinokorov pulling all the strings. Vinokorov had massive faith in Cav to assemble such a great sprint set-up, and hopefully the sponsors will now be rewarded.Unbelievable so happy for him and his team for believing it was possible. Just fantastic news![]()
TY.Egan Bernal (2019 TdF winner) and Carlos Rodriguez...hedging their bets.
Rodrigeuz won the Tour de Romandie and 4th in the Criterium de Dauphine earlier this year. Bernal is getting back in form after a bad crash 2 yrs ago.
I agree with all of this.My missus and I like DM as he is very incisive on team tactics. He will explain why the peloton wont react or will react to breakaways etc. If you compare him to Sean Kelly on Eurosport who tells you things like. “ as they go up hill it will get harder”. No disrespect to SK he is a cycling legend for his achievements, but not as a commentator.
Not in Paris this year..Nice.how great would it be if he could sign off his career with a win on the Champs Elysees in a couple of weeks?
Indeed.Not in Paris this year..Nice.

As Tim says the final stage is a time trial into Nice.Indeed.
Which would make a win in Paris this year almost as suspicious as his choice of teams/manager to get that record breaking win he was so desperate for.![]()
Thanks everyone for enlightening me. Due to the Olympics, perhaps? As Tim says the final stage is a time trial into Nice.
Yes I believe it’s the first year ever. Another one or two wins would be great but I’m more than happy with the oneThanks everyone for enlightening me. Due to the Olympics, perhaps?
Shame, the Champs finish is iconic. I'd rather they shifted the Olympics to Nice and left the Tour finish as is!
I agree, makes it even more interesting.Got to love a bit of gravel !
Drugs. It is Le Tour after all. What is Vingegaard's plan,

Bin the shitty Time Trials.....
.......(I thought it was just me)...As he crossed the line just edging Pogacar, I remembered your post and thought....well, he must have read it cos here's his plan. I really thought Pog had gone when he took off near the top of Puy Mary and quickly got to a 20+ second gap. Vingegaard rode superbly (as did Evenepoel to a lesser degree)Vingegaard wins today's stage, is this the start of his attack?
