1100gs.

I've set the tps a number of times in the past, with no problems.

This time however, I can't get it to read anywhere near .371 and am having to set it, on a warmed up engine, by how it sounds & feels instead.

If I get close to .371, it won't idle (cuts out) and hunts all over the place on a steady throttle.

Any thoughts?
Cheers

Did you remove the TB? Did you re-conect the ground cable to it? Is that connection clean?

Does the spindle have play in it?

Hi Darren,
I had a TPS problem on my 2k 1150GS: I could get the desired voltage ok, check and double check it. But give it half an hour or so and the voltage value was completely wrong with the associated poor running. I bought a second hand one off ebay, fitted it and all problems have disappeared. May be the quickest and easiest solution :thumb2

That would be a good test too, to check your TPS. See if you pull the gas, does the voltage increase liniar? ;)

Problem solved. Unsure exactly how, but had a slightly loose positive wire on battery & tightened up tps earth.

Also took tps off & cleared some of the road cr*p from behind it.

All seems to be back on track - thanks for the help guys :thumb2
