We away for 7 days or 6 nights.

Having now booked the fast ferry from Holyhead to Dublin me and the girlfriend wish to tour Southern Ireland. One B+B booked near to Wicklow, then travel further down the coast towards Dungarvan or Youghal.

Hope anyone can recommend a reasonable priced B+B on the coast. Really I mean cheap as I would stay in hostels but a little comfort would be nice. :comfort :ChrisKelly

You'll have no problems with B&B's over here.......you should be able to roll up and book in; you might have to try one or two frist, but you'll get something, Its a better bet, as that way you can stop when you like. Dont forget that you may anticipate making more miles in a day than you actually will......expect to pay €40-45 per night.

If you want to pre-book, here's where to try....www.discoverireland.ie and use the Where To Stay section.:aidan. Also, check in here for some hints and tips

'Wild' camping isn't a problem if you want to keep costs down.........perhaps with a B&B for the odd other days?

You should probably post this over in the Ireland section (or get a Mod to move it)

Ah! Camping ... my girlfriend does not do camping ... and tell ya the truth I aint got all the kit anyway. Hostels I have used in Ireland and they`re just the job when you need a hot shower and you don`t have to run across a field to have a DUMP. :0)

B & B's everywhere in southern Ireland .
I spent 5 days touring after Tipperary and never booked beforehand.
Paid between 25-35 euro's.
And certainly no problems being on a bike.
It's a grand place :thumb
Enjoy !!

I live 8mins from Youghal and 12mins from Dungarvan on the coast.

Roads are good around here... Coast Road is worth taking.

It`s nearly here our weeks holiday in Bogland (my Auntie calls it Bogland, she lives west of Cork :aidan ). I was wondering how I can get a good weather report as BBC does not cover much of Ireland also i`ve tried the MET office with similar results. Long range forcast is what I need really. :augie
Plus what are petrol prices like at the moment, I would just like to know before we set off ... working out how much we will need for the week ya see and how much will be left for  :thumb

Mahon Falls,Waterford

..near Kilmacthomas

A beautiful spot I visited for the first time recently. Some nice biking roads in the area too. Though the sunshine and blue skies did help.
