TT 2014

Had a mega TT visit, Got home at 05:00 this morning...had a shower and a little sleep, now up in time for today's racing.

My TT trip in pics, videos and words.
On way to Albert Docks Liverpool, Stopped every hr or so...lots of roadworks and a diversion due to motorway closure..Good run up though

On the Manannan, great vessel.

Off the ferry after a good crossing, first stop for any TT fan has to be the Fairy Bridge (scoff at your peril)

Then on to GlenLough campsite to pitch our homes for the TT

It is Hungry work putting a tent up

More, much more to follow.

You Bloody Let Down. Jim Bryan and I are on the way.

We had been there ALL DAY, including seeing a nasty RTC right outside the pub at about 10:30 when a local plated Orange solo Yamaha ploughed into an indicating and slowing to turn left into pub two-up Triumph Explorer, Triumph couple were fine but Yamaha rider was laying motionless on front in the road for ages being tended to by police and paramedics before finally being eased onto spine board and into ambulance. (I hope whoever it was is not as badly injured as it looked).

Our plan was to stay there for racing and hang around for the meet, when the racing was stopped and roads reopened mid afternoon we figured we'd ride back to GLenlough to shower and change then get the bus back up to Sulby.... Due to various road closures I thought it prudent to check the forum before standing around for a bus, NO ONE else had posted so due to the uncertainty we binned the idea as neither of us fancied hanging about for a bus only to get there and no-one else turn up leaving us to bus it back to Douglas.

We had a beer then hopped on the "party bus" into town.

Shame not to meet new faces..

Yes. Shame it was a bit disjointed. WIDELOAD, Edward and Bakerman left early on as they had other engagements, Jim Bryan , Piebaps and I turned up in "Civvies" and we spent too much time waffling to each other and Paul Young , that i'm afraid that we did not "mingle" and catch up with the other Tossers. Shame Moo didn't make it as she'd have made sure we all knew who was who.

Piss up in brewery springs to mind :blast

Hope you all have a great last couple of days, stay safe.

Enjoying the look back on manx radioTT, great hearing from the old commentators and hearing their tales from over the years.

News just in MD has withdrawn from lightweight race

Great that the Paton was fastest through sulby speed trap.

Nice post-race interview by Guy Martin as always...giving lots of credit to his crew
He's a class act isn't he.

Good to hear from Paul Owen, great guy

More from my TT trip this year:

Took a stroll around the campsite.
Met some interesting people and some cool bikes, to me this side of things is as important as the racing to my TT experience.
