Hi To all the IT-TV Guru's :bow
My parents have bought a new TV all working fine, more off a set up question. Most off the channels you will get 100% picture, but some channels you lose about 10% off both sides. :nenau Changing aspect ratio's & settings to cinema or natural or wide screen the picture changes size but still missing the 10% each side. They are watching the TV via Sky box (5years old ish). Any ideas?

Cheers. :thumb

I think you have to change something on the sky box settings, services button, picture settings, picture format 16:9 Second location P.F. 16:9.

Set TV aspect settings to AUTO...
Or 16.9 default..
Lots of stuff will auto set to 4.3 [eg the Professionals. Batman, Fallguy early last of summer wine etc...
You CAN show them in fullscreen but everyone looks distorted...

You soon get used to and not notice the black sidebars..:thumb2

set the sky box to wide screen and set the tv to auto ZOOM or smart ZOOM. Different manufacturers all have different names but they usualy have the word zoom in it.

The most important thing is to end up with people the right shape - not tall and thin, nor short and fat. However, depending upon the original source material you may end up with black bars at the side or the top, or you may lose a bit iof the picture.

Regards to all
