Twinshock rear suspension info.

Hi , I'm putting together a twinshock , inspired by the Scheck bikes . I need any info available on rear units in order to have a pair made . Spring rating seems to be the most important factor as far as a starting point is concerned . Thanks in advance , Mike

Probably depends on your weight and what kind of ride you like more than anything... or did I not understand your question? My memory tells me that I read that those bikes were as stiff and as hard as anything as he prefered to gun it and drive straight over things instead of turning to avoid things.

Who is making them for you?

If you use Maxton they you only have to supply them with the information on length, configuration, loading and intended use, which is specific to your bike, and they will work out the spring and damper rates to suit. Surprisingly reasonably priced too.

And if you dont have that information you are unlikely to get the correct shocks anywhere.

And as Canuk has already said, forget the mythical long travel suspension, the professional race bike were set so stiff the suspension did not move with mere mortals riding the bikes.

Thanks for that , I'll give them a try . Long suspension travel isn't really possible due to uj yokes binding . I've got a max. of 3.5"
