Tyre Puncture safe (Ultraseal)

Did you perhaps put just a little too much in, or did you use a spoonfull?:rtfm

The instructions recommend using a pipette full!:comfort

We (a bunch of work mates) had the local rep come round and do us all. I suspect you're right and that she put too much in.....

I KNOW I'm right. I've had it in all my bikes for past 10 years, never had a prob with wheel baklance, even wheel balance! :ymca

Dear Sir,

Puncturesafe is the new name for Ultraseal UK and both companies use the strapline "under pressure don't be". The Ultrasealgb product is an American sealant and they are trading illegilly in this country using that name because it is the copyright property of Ultraseal UK.

Hope this helps.

Phillipa.

I hope this helps....

I just dosed my 'new' continentals with Puncturesafe. I tested balance before injecting Puncturesafe and tested after. No out of balance.
I posted before on another thread here that I did get a bit of a knock from the front at speeds of around 115mph but this smoothed out after about 120. Not on a GS but on a Triumph Sprint. Never had a puncture after using sealants.

I found this old gem but the method is still sound.

What ever you use V and above rated tyres are not mean to be repaired too many times.

USING PUNCTURE SAFE (ULTRASEAL)

HI folks i have noticed quite a few postings with regards the use of Puncturesafe (ultraseal) i would like to take the time to ensure that although there are various products available which do a similar job that puncture safe does exactly what it promises ie. seals a puncture upto 6mm on high speed tyres eg. motorcycles, cars, vans, hgv etc and upto 9mm on off road vehicles.

its not a 1 hit wonder like certain foams out there and is guaranteed to seal the puncture for the life of a tyre. and in the event of a blowout it reduces the explosive nature which slows u down and saves lives etc. please feel free to read more on my website questions and answers page on www.puncturesafeglasgow.co.uk any enquiries on the product or for further advice feel free to email me direct from the website

I put it in my ZZR after a mate used it a few years ago and it sealed a significant hole in his tyre when he was on tour and saved him a heap of hassle.

I also carry a repair kit, but have read of people having problems with them too, I don't expect miracles, just trying to decrease my chances of being stuck up a mountain in the middle of nowhere.

I had mine done by All Year Biker in Newbury, he told me he had never had balance issues but reckoned many people over-fill and blame the product.

At high speed I did get problems, but only past 140mph (Autobahn of course), this is an easy to achieve speed on the ZZR, but unlikely to be an issue on a GS.

Ultraseal ruined one of my trips to The Ring! Front wheel shook so badly at high speed it bolloxed the whole trip.
I had a similar thing with mine on a trip to Barcelona.Brand new tyre by the time I got to Limoge I had to have a new tyre fitted, had it checked out at BMW Limoge and they would not refit the original tyre so had to stump for a new one! However this is down to the spoked rims being out and not the puncture seal.Had had in front and rear of the alloys with no problems.I now just run it in the rear with the spoked rins.
