Is anyone finding the same problem with tyres out of stock on back order?

Asked my local bike tyre fitter to get a price on Conti trail attack 3's, Metzler Roadtec 01's and Bridgestone T32's. Other than Roadtec's which were £337 fitted a pair others out of stock in back order!

Yep Michelin road 5 hard to get, managed to get mine from m and p in wales via Ebay

Nope, fitted a set of Michelin Road 5 GT last week, rang up on the Monday in the garage and fitted Wed. £270 fitted for front and rear, although some discount there

I couldn’t find a TA3 rear in stock in August when I needed a replacement before a trip to Scotland, so fitted a TA2.

Luckily it works really well the the TA3 front

Have you considered Avon tyres? Many are made in the UK so might be less affected by Covid closures in other countries.

I uses the Storm 3D on my RS and the Trailrider get good reviews.

The Suez/Evergreen blockage & Brexit are being blamed I believe, along with the need for manufacturing to gear up again after the drop in demand due to Covid.

My F650GS is OK right now, but I would probably go Avon too if necessary.

Just buy what you can get & ok to mix front and rears

Was speaking to the owner of a local bike shop on Tuesday who does a lot of mail order stuff, he was telling me he is spending a large sum on tyres, oil, brake pads etc etc for stock as he has had the heads up of supply issues during the next few months

Similarly last week being told be staff from 3 national bike clothing and accessory shops and a couple of local ones that they are really struggling post brexit getting stock of european brand kit for the summer

Ordered CTA3's last week from my local dealer and having them fitted on Thursday. Nothing mentioned about short supply.
