Probably done to the death
But fk trawling through the pages and pages

Recommendations on tyres for a big mile tour on a gsa lc

Cheers

Had Metzeller Tourance next on my last GS rear was still had 3m on it and by that time diner shy of 10k.

On a current GSA I ran Conti Trail Attack 2 replaced both tires at just over 8k,

Currently running Dunlop Road Smart 3 (recommendation from Bruce Smart “TeaPotOne”)around 1700 miles in and these are confidence inspiring.

Last 1200 I had tourance 2, the front tyres were going square. The original Tourance was a better tyre, but that was 12 years ago
Had conti’s on the ktm wi talon wheels and they were good, I’ll probably go for them :thumb2

PR4s are brilliant road tyres when brand new, once squared off they still work ok but feel terrible.

The latest Tourance Nexts are fab on my new Rallye TE and were OK even when squared off on my previous LC - so I’d recommend them.

Sportiest GS tire / Conti RoadAttack3
Longest lasting tire (and almost as good) / Pirelli ScorpionTrail2

Dunlop Roadsmart 3's. Over 4K on them now, and no complaints.

Love my Anakee III's. Michelin have a deserved reputation for the rubber keeping its consistency until the last mm. Great in the wet, great in the dry and (as I say) the rubber never seems to deteriorate.

They feel ok if you can get past the horrible noise they make
