Need to replace the tyres on the bike

Rear is badly squared..

I had Avon trailriders (good) and tourances on the hexhead (also good)

but non of these are appear on the motherships ist of reccomended tyres etc

what are people fitting ??

dunlop trailsmart max .................6500 miles plus on rear and not squared off

My favourite tyres and the ones i consider to be head and shoulders above everything else are metzler Roadtec 01

And having said that i have been mightily impressed with the Scorpion trail 2 that came as OEM on the multi

But i will be going roadtec when they need changing

I have pilot road 5’s .... fine tyres.
I did want roadtec 01’s but tyre company didn’t have them.

Think I will try continental trail attack 3’s next.... heard good things about them.

I tried various on my 1200 GSA and ended up with Roadtec 01s and that’s what’s going on the 1250 when the Anakees are done, currently on about 4,500 miles and probably have a 1000 m left.

The current Anakees are better than those fitted on the 2016 bike.

Ride in/out at Micheldever, but need to negotiate price and book the tyres and a slot.

if its pure road riding, pirelli scorpion trail 2s or Conti trail attack 3

If you ride very quickly and take to warmer countries conti trail attack 3.
If it is for the shitty uk roads and normal riding then the pirelli Scorpion 2.
Be honest with yourself, if you don't ride like a complete twat the pirelli is the better tyre as it has far more feel and is very confidence inspiring. You won't run out of grip unless you push VERY hard in hot conditions not found in the UK.

Continental Trail Attack 3. By far the best tyre I have ever used. Perfect in all conditions.

Not tried th PS2 as of yet , the TA3 however is a great tyre for the UK , heats up fast and finds grip in all situations , also as you say great in the hot climates as they wear well and will give you a guaranteed 2000 to 2500 miles of pace riding before the front goes out of shape.
The roadtech O1 good tyre but when pushed hard the front seems to squirrel around and makes the ride uncomfortable as the front grips but just not in a nice confidence inspiring way two up even worse.

I don't weigh much, maybe that makes a difference. I don't get as much feedback from the CTA3 and find them sensitive to tyre pressures.
I haven't tried the PR5 yet maybe for me it will be the goldilocks tyre.

Try the PR5 , super set , grippy and in the hot, say ,Spanish roads they are superb , just don't last .

For me its Scorpion trail 2 ,Just like the feel of the bike with these boots on, seem superb grip wet or dry and turn in very well

A friend of mine has them on his Pikes Peak and really likes them, he had PST2 before says they are similar to Angel GT.

Ok thanks. PS2's are nearly £40 cheaper a pair. If Angel's were worth it I'd pay the extra, but if they are similar, might try the PS2's.
