Hope to be collecting a GS this weekend, 1150 on 53 plate, and have looked at the great info about tyres but one thing that seems to have been missed is the normal running preasure for the front and rear, the bike has 020's on but hope to change these to the Tourance once worn out so what is the recommended preasure for these? Any difference if using the bike off road etc.

Cheers

For Tourances, I'd suggest 36psi front/42psi rear. Don't know about off road though. This is the top end of the range recommended by BM but always worked well for me and was recommended by the dealers. I found if you went down a couple of psi, the handling went to pot.

Spooky, same is recommended for the Fazer, but your right about dropping a few PSi, thanks

seem a bit firm for me but then again I'm only about 11stone dripping wet! I use 33 up front and 37 at the back.

Tyre manufacturers are apparently standardising the pressures for most tyres. You'll find a lot of tyres on a lot of bikes these days where the recommended pressures are 36 front 42 rear.
