As someone born very close to Dudley (Quarry Bank), never say they sound like Brummies.
My sister grew up with a distinct Brum / Midlands accent, coming from attending Daventry’s Southbrook Estate comprehensive school, catering for Birmingham overspill and slum clearance.
I must be thinking of Brummies, saying “Dudley”.
Yeah, sorry I re-read your post, like Timothy Spall in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Saying that I'm not a fan of the Black Country accent at all. Glad I left when I was 19.
a school friend who lived in Bromsgrove until he was 14 was a tad sensitive about that too, trying to convince us he was from Worcestershire
I'll see if Mrs P is free that weekend and fancies dragging the caravan up the A34 for a few sherberts.

Free to attend with the missus that weekend but my club membership has expired so no discount and no club website login. I’ll ring the membership line to renew tomorrow then try to book a hard standing pitch with electric hookup.
I have stayed here earlier in the year,and some of the Ehu posts are definitely sparse,
So yes a 25m cable is needed..
The lock Inn was a two minute walk out the bottom site gate.
Pub was busy,food ok'ish....for me..

Don't....park ....in an area next too the main Rd,it's in a cutting beside the site and car noise resonates upwards...
Just spoke to the Caravan & Camping Club membership representative and renewed my lapsed club membership then booked a hard standing pitch with electric for our Caravan, I also asked if they can fit us in on a pitch near Mr Nash if possible. My wife hasn’t been on a GSers trip or weekend jaunt before so it’s a first for her but she’s a sociable girl and well behaved in public.
Glad sorting it out was no drama. As we used to say down under…..”too easy”
