ULTRASEAL TYRE OUTFIT

Evenin all,
just had to buy new tyre after a puncture 1st one for over 20yrs lucky ah,any hints and tips on using the product ultraseal is it ok?not sure about putting "gungy"stuff in brand new tyre.got a long trip coming up to monza want to be sure as i can be on my travels ....

Had in all my tyres for some years now - never had a problem though it didn't cure a slow puncture in one tyre until I did a long trip and got the tyres warmed up a bit. Can't say if it fixed any punctures - which some would say is one of the problems with it .....​

just follow the instructions on the bottle takes about 10 minutes per tyre dont be tempted to put that little bit extra in just in case the wheels will vibrate like mad

DO NOT PUT IT IN YOU TYRES !!!!!

I had no problem with balancing or vibration until I put Ultrasseal In. It has cost me £25 get have this crap taken out . I know some people swear by it but as soon as I took the bike up to 82mph vibration and shuddering set in. Once I had it removed no problem, I have since spoken to a BMW technician who says we no longer recomend Ultraseal for the very reason above

I Agree, On 3rd set of Ultrasealed tyres with it and never had a problem. Just run slowly for the first couple of miles.

put it in a ZZR1100 once, great way to restrict your speed to 80ish, so much vibration thought it was going to chuck me off , carry a decent puncture repair kit instead

120mph no problem no vibes. Warm the bottle in hot water first, makes it much easier to squeeze the stuff in when the plastic is pliable

I have a compressor & a bottle with enough ultraseal for one tyre & carry it on the bike, then when i get a flat ,i will use it .In fact i used it on a friends last time as he got the flat tyre, & he is still running on it from last year

I did have vibration on my previous bike, but whether the Ultraseal cause it I don't know. in all the time I had the tyres, I never had to top up the tyre pressure once - and I've never had to do that before.

When I sold the bike, we noticed a small nail in the rear tyre (it was shiney through rubbing on the road). No idea whether the buyer removed the nail, but I would have, and trusted the Ultraseal.

I have used Ultraseal in all my semi recent bikes (2x CBR 600, VFR, 900 Hornet and now onto my 3rd rear tyre on my GS) with no problems what so ever.

Interestingly I have never had a puncture that I have known about either (is this good or bad?) so I have ordered another bottle from Ultraseal Kent at 17.50 + free P&P (go direct to their website, its £18.50 from the same person on ebay???????)

Never had any vibes at all and done some stupid speeds with no problems but I have always followed the instructions to the letter.

Slime

I've never used the ultraseal, but I carry a compressor and a bottle of 'Slime'. If I have a puncture I put in the slime and off I go. I used it twice on my bikes and once on someone elses and it works a treat. I dont put it in from new though because I like to know if I have had a puncture. I think it costs about a tenner and you can get it from Halfords. No vibration issues.

I used it once when I had my FJR1300 and got a lot of vibration through the bars at 110mph but below that OK.

Have been using it for 2 years in my GS without any problems at all. Doesn't create that much of a mess when changing tyres either - just rinses out.

Great stuff, no vibrations but then I follow the instructions saved one tour of Europe got inch long staple in the back, just had to add abit more air at the next garge and tyre continued for another 3000 mies.

Fantastic stuff - had it my last three bikes. Definitely good for tyre wear, never had a vibration problem (after the first 100 yards), takes 10 minutes to do and absoutely saved from me from what would have been a VERY nasty blow out on the M3 at 80+ mph on my last 1200GS. Go for it, you will not regret it.

I got a puncture at 600 miles (nail ) put ultraseal in and used for 7k with no probs.

Always used it as we do a lot of long tours in Europe.
Went over a naily batten dropped off a trailer at 70+mph, (in Austria) no probs, the second batten bounced and smashed the headlight unit (get a protector).

XJR 1300 - Pan European - GS 1200 - no vibrations.

Used it in all my tyres and never once had a problem, a mate uses it and he rides a hyabusa. So long as you follow the distructions you can't go wrong.
If a tyre company ever charges you extra when changing tyre go somewhere else, all I do is tell them it's in there and 99.9% just say ok. And then wipe the rims with a wet towel
