What's the best u lock that'll fit under the seat then chaps?

I'll either get one of these, or a Roadlok.

U have to try a few U's out to see what U suits U and what bike U ride.

I could get a big U next to my odyssey battery on my basic cos I have a good space now.
U on the other hand would need a tiny U if its a modern WC thingy.
Or one U could bend ?

Nutty, what year was you're last bike? as my MY16 has the control unit for the dynamic brake thing blocking access under the the rear rack, via the passenger seat.

I think you will struggle to get any meaningful lock under the seat of a new GSA. there isnt room for an Autocom never mind a lock that will deter a scum bag for more than a second or 2

Is a U lock any better than a disc lock that you can carry in your pocket? Or is the idea of a U lock to actually lock the bike to something immovable?

Nah, mines a TC. The 'U' bit fits perfectly, just no room for the actual lock part.
