urgent advice please

hi there took my 1200 adv for crash repair to dealer when they wheeled it out it would not start they took it back in an said ive got a problem they reckon the throttle pechometer excuse spelling not sure if that whats its called,had been chewed by a rat, they done a repair by splicing wire together they told me it was a warranty repair, as i pointed out however it happend when it was in there care at the time, i rode the bike home on route as i went to accelerate cut out completley, was was wondering weather it should have been completly replaced. its being relayed back to them today. cheers

You should insist that any damage incurred whilst in their possession is restored to an "as new" condition, and not with a bodge repair.

the dealer is south london motorad now vines ive asked them to get the manager to phone me today opefully they will do the right thing. thanks for the advice

Was it a brown or black rat .

I'd call the RSPCA.

A wire chewed by a rat is a warrantee repair? I don’t know how that’s a warrantee repair, I rather smell a rat myself…

But a full and proper warrantee repair would be to replace the whole wire/cable including the throttle potentiometer…

How much did BWM charge you for this 'extensive' warranty. However much it costs, if its that good then I'm glad mine has long expired.

hi all still havent got any awnswers from vines they reckon they cant find anything wrong and still wont give me an awnser weather they are going to do the job properly, it beggars belive really, seeing that it was damaged whilst in there care,if anyone has any advice id be gratefull i feel like im banging my head against a brickwall.

That could be part of your problem - They aren't going to take you very seriously while standing on front of them trying to be irate with weeping head lacerations caused by self inflicted blunt trauma.
