Just been informed that there is a potential delay on Guzzi heated grips. Just wondering what other options I’ve got ? Anybody fitted aftermarket ones cos the dealer says they won’t fit :nenau. Also contemplating trying heated gloves as an option too. Any advice appreciated. Just to clarify I am awaiting delivery of the bike on a 71 plate.

I can’t see why Oxford heated grips wouldn’t fit? I have a pair of Keis heated gloves, you can either plug them into the bike or they have rechargeable batteries and 3 heat settings, they keep my hands nice and toasty.

Just been looking at them actually. How are they for ‘feel’ on the bike ? Not wanting to feel like I’ve got welders gauntlets on :blast

I've had Oxford grips on 4 bikes , never had any issues and they easily outperform BMW's own grips (whether it be 1150gs,1200tc ,f800gsa, or any of the three GSA LC's I've owned ) Cannot see why they would not fit a V85

Badger. If you fancy a ride over, you can check out the Oxford grips on my bike. I'll also give you a couple of the connector as I bought a whole packet...

they are pretty damn good to be honest with a good even heat around the fingers and thumbs.

Last winter on a few cold long rides, I had heated grips, heated gloves, and muffs on...super-toasty even when snowing (and riding 330 miles from Devon to Cumbria!)

I found my heated gloves got very "marginal" in performance when wet. With the muffs as well, I could have the grips and the gloves both on "minimum" and still be toasty...

Just ordered a set of the Oxfords plus the necessary bits from RS. Went out for a night ride last night to get some running in miles done and to see how good the lights are. I’m pleased to report the led lights are excellent! A most enjoyable ride but my hands were freezing. I’d had a daft idea that I could manage with out heated grips but no. Ordered them soon as I got home.
Excellent post on fitting them Martin, and much time saved on researching the connectors.

That’s a really kind offer mate. This site is full of knowledgeable, genuine people :bow I’m still waiting for delivery of the V85 after the centre stand and engine bars arrive from Italy. Still hopeful the heated grips might turn up too, but I at least now know I’ve got another option.
