Right all the bits turned up yesterday
Bright and breezy ( and i mean breezy lol) this morning i was up and at it,
whipped the LH rocker cover off, replaced the seal, and tied it in place
In daylight, it was a piece of piss to see the contact spring, and to avoid catching the plug
seal
Once in the correct horizontal plane, i cut the string and retrieved it.
The seal stayed located.
Tightened everything up and torqued off.
Moment of truth time
Started the bike up, and it clattered really loudly, but i gave it a minute, figuring this was
the tensioner re-pressurising.
Sure enough, everything quietened down, with just a slight rumble of the
camchain, and the ticking of the injectors,
Took it out for a spin, and got it nicely warm,
No leaks, and no clattering from the tappets
Still a bit of noise from the cam chain area, when revved hard,
but no where to the point where I'm thinking OMG.
I know they are quite noising in a non agricultural way,
But this is far quieter than before....
Now i know what to do, i'll quite happily do it again if needs be.
Thanks for alL your help & support
